A passion for jewels began with the return of KWJewels owner, Kathryn Whatmore to Sri Lanka in 1999, whereupon being introduced to gemmology classes with mentor and renowned Master Gemmologist/Jeweller Fazal Mohideen. What started out as mere interest, the thirst for knowledge of this amazing subject grew over the years with many pieces designed and made for friends. On Kathryn's return to Australia late in 2006, enquiries for gems and jewellery continued and so, in 2010, KWJewels officially became a registered business.
From simple silver earrings, rings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces to the exquisite couture pieces designed in yellow gold, white gold and platinum, KWJewels undertakes any and all requests, producing engagement rings, wedding bands and highly individual pieces to their client's complete satisfaction. In a time of increasing gold and silver prices, clients are also encouraged to renew old items to remodel them into wearable, modern and valuable jewellery ready for this generation and the next. With everything fully guaranteed, utmost care in the design and manufacturing process ensures all aspects of client care and after sales service.
